Today class was very scary. We read a poem by Emily again and I hated it so much. I hate scary stuff such as movies, Halloween all of that. It was very deep. The speaker was losing her mind and comparing it to being burned alive. In the middle of reading the poem the lights start blinking. It was really scary. I really hope we don’t have to read another poem by her again because in my opinion her poems SUCK. Bye see you tomorrow!!
Today in 3rd period we read another poem by Langston Hughes. This time, we were put into groups & had to read and analyze the poem with our group. My groups poem was called refugee from freedom. It talked about the worth of freedom and liberty for African Americans. I learned what civil liberties are. One important civil liberty is freedom of speech.
